Astoria Park is located on the western shore of Queens. It extends from the south of the Triborough Bridge to the North side of the Hell Gate Bridge. Astoria Park has one of the largest and most popular swimming facilities in the entire country. It features a main pool with a diving board that exceeds Olympic standards, as well as a wading pool that’s tons of fun for the whole family. Standing at 330 feet in length, the main pool is the largest in NYC. It also offers an amazing view of the Triborough Bridge. Astoria Skate Park
If you are looking to do something a little bit more spontaneous, have no fear. The Astoria Skate Park is open from dawn to dusk daily, so let the fun begin! This facility is a 21,500 square-foot skate park that provides the perfect amount of space for ample flow and speed. Skaters will be able to enjoy multiple levels of stairs, rails, banks, and ledges that vary in width and heights. It’s the perfect attraction for any athlete who likes to live on the edge!
Skate Park Regulations
The Department of Parks & Recreation will provide a parking attendant to be present during the park’s operating hours. Each participant will be asked to sign a liability waiver. Additionally, to ensure safety, body safety gear is required. For example, you’ll need a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, etc. All skill levels are welcome if they have the required gear and waiver.
