Spend Saturday Morning Outside

Every Saturday from 10 AM-12 PM, admission to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, located on the north side of Prospect Park, is completely FREE. It is a great place to visit all year long, but the best time to get there is from April to May. That is when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and everything looks truly breathtaking. Make sure to bring your camera – there are plenty of places to take pictures!

Explore a Forgotten Manhattan Museum

Located in Fort Tryon Park is The Met Cloisters. Often called the Met’s sister museum- the building is dedicated to Medieval art and architecture. The absolute perfect place to roam on a sunny afternoon, admission is suggested, but you are not required to pay anything. Afterward, we suggest taking the A train to 190th St and walk through the park that runs right along the Hudson River. The museum is open every day, from 10 AM-5:15 PM from March to October, and 10 AM-4:45 PM from November to February.

Yoga for the People

You may be thinking – what? Free yoga? In New York City – No way. Believe it. Yoga to the People offers donation based yoga classes, meaning you can get your daily exercise at no cost to you! No shockingly, the classes are very popular, so make sure you get there at least 20 minutes early to get a great spot. Make sure to bring your yoga mat, some water, and a great attitude.
